English Enrichment

Our English Enrichment class is designed to help your child develop their skills in all areas of English. The four major language skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking) are taught alongside micro-skills such as grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation to ensure the children receive a well-rounded lesson in each and every class. On top of that, we encourage your child to proactively express their thoughts and sharpen their creative skills through our Creative Writing lessons.
For the younger students, we use interesting stories according to their age group, to help and enable them to understand Grammar. This will help the children understand sentence structure, become more able at writing and more confident in reading.
For the older students, we will have a different story/topic each week and let the students read, listen and discuss. Children will learn how to find reasoning or justification evidence from their text which in turn will allow them to formulate their own opinions and write their conclusions.
Every week, the students bring back one of their favourite story books from our library, to encourage the importance of reading and the older students will review each book they borrow. Each student progresses at their own pace and we will accommodate and cater to each individual child’s needs.

Our syllabus is designed to encourage creative and critical thinking across all age groups. To coincide with our ever-changing world, other skills such as, teamwork, leadership and independence are all heavily focused upon – all in the name of allowing our students to shine brighter than ever.
